Perhaps the most important thing to encourage and emphasize, when it comes to creating the “ambiance” this holiday season, is to not take anything too seriously. If you remove intense pressure, the barriers to creativity are also lifted. Keeping it simple is a piece of advice that is much easier to say than to actually accomplish. Yet these rules apply with so many things. Think of cooking or fashion. In the first example, if you use only a few ingredients, but each one is quality, the dish is bound to be impressive.

The same hold true with a well put together outfit. If the outfit is composed of simple, yet elegant, and well-matched pieces…it will be beautiful. Apply this same philosophy to your decorating! Homemade floral arrangements, for example, do not have to be a daunting task at all. Use beautiful fresh flowers, and they will take care of the work for you. All you have to do is group them together and place them in a vase. And you can still proudly take credit for all the beauty to ensue.

Nature offers all the effort that is needed for the perfect aesthetic and ambiance.
