To be near such magnificence was a great pleasure that the mind had sustained but was only made material by a great mass of rich substance that pervaded despite darkness, dust, and debris.
Something that could withstand hardship, pain, and mystery. Greatness itself embodied in the caliber of this connection. The gentle brushes of soft petals, full and thick, intended for devouring with a gaze, with touch, with all of ones being. Alas though, it was not possible to fully unite with splendor. It never would be. That would mean an end, for which this story certainly did not have one. Not now. Not ever. It was forever doomed to linger with surprise.
