A debate was recently made regarding the best smelling flowers. Yes, you may always hear how people want to “smell like a rose”, and this is definitely the case with body care brands such as L’Occitane selling lines perfumes, lotions, and soaps inspired by roses. Yet they also have a recent peony line, and ones of jasmine and bergamot as well, for that matter.
However, to create these fragrances one must distill the flower in some sort of solution that strives to derive that which is makes it the most potent. In other words, it is a lot of work to truly “grasp” the smell of these flowers. There are some flowers, on the other hand, who all you need to do is simply pluck them and bring them into your home. Gardenias, for example, always command an area with their intoxicating fragrance.
In terms of flowers for arrangements, we definitely recommend lilies. Not calla lilies, but asiatic lilies such as stargazers. This is merely if your objective is to go for flowers that not only look good but that have a strong perfume as well. By all means, all of our flowers fit the bill for beauty, it just depends what you are going for.
