At the last minute, I ordered 200 roses for my wedding. I was concerned that they would arrive too soon, so I contacted the seller. They responded and were able to delay shipment so they would arrive before the wedding but not too far before. The roses arrived one day early, which was fine. I kept them in the box in a cool, dark area of my parents' house (a 1904 Victorian-style house with no air-conditioning in Portsmouth, NH) and they fared perfectly well. My friends handled the bouquets for my wedding (I was a wee bit overwhelmed, ha) so all I did was take the roses from the boxes, cut the bottom of the stems, and place them in water. They did not have thorns at all. I wish I could post a picture of my bouquet (in addition to the roses, we had ranunculus [from another seller] and eucalyptus [from Trader Joe's]) because it was amazing. The roses looked perfect in the bouquets and the centerpieces. They held up really well on the day of the wedding (June 22) and for a few days after. ' I ordered 100 red roses to be delivered on Friday, March 13th for a Wedding Brunch to be held at my home on Sunday, March 15. I cannot begin to tell you how excited I was to receive them on the specified date and the packaging was fantastic. I followed the instructions given for their care upon arrival. I arranged them Saturday evening because I had 11 vases to fill and knew I would not have time on Sunday morning. They were absolutely stunning!!! My sister- in-law was helping and thought I needed to add babys breath to the bouquets. I didnt see the need, but she bought some anyway. I did put it in the tall vases and it helped fill-in, but I had already put some of the stemmed leaves in the shorter vases. Because you have to cut off the leaves so that they are not in the water, I saved them and added the leaves with the stem on the bottom in between the roses. As I said, they were stunning. No babys breath necessary. I should have ordered more since I was filling 11 vases, but at the time I ordered I thought I only had 9 vases to fill. I want everyone to know how beautiful they are and I would definitely order from Global Rose for all my flower needs. Not only were they beautiful, but the price is fantastic. Overall, I am satisfied with the freshness of flowers (red roses). There were couple of broken steams. The difference in lengths of steams was significant. My order was supposed to have 2 inch difference in between steam lengths, however there were flowers with 4 or more inch differences. In decoration I was able to use those short ones as well, but In future I would expect to get more consistent flowers based on what is ordered or given as description of a product. I ordered 50 red roses for a funeral in Okeechobee. The Buxton & Bass funeral home was tasked with putting the roses in vases. My card was not attached and the roses were falling over and some were limp. The delivery was the day prior to the funeral. I believe the poor showing was due to lack of finesse, since arranging is not the bailiwick of a funeral home. On the plus side, since these were the only loose flowers, folks took several as a keepsake. Not sure what happened to the 'card'. The roses individually were lovely.
