How To Make Pew Decorations

Before you begin:
  1. Religious ceremonies usually take place in a house of worship.
  2. Most of these places have a main aisle that leads to the main altar with pews or benches on either side.
  3. Brides sometimes like to decorate the aisle by placing special arrangements on these pews.
  4. Make a visit to your local floral supplier and look for a special product made of oasis that is specifically fabricated for this decoration.
  5. Look for an oasis with the shape of half a sphere that can be attached or hooked onto the side of the pew or bench -- once found, you are ready to begin.
  6. At least one hour prior to making your decoration, soak your oasis ball in water and diluted floral food.
What you will need:
  1. A set of spears
  2. Half sphere oasiscompletely saturated with water.
  3. Working area that includes a table or countertop and a floor that can resist water.
Instructions:
  1. In a separate water-filled container have ready your 25 rose stems. For the purpose of this decoration, these roses should already be in full bloom.
  2. One by one, remove foliage and all thorns from each rose stem and place them on the table.
  3. Using your spears cut each rose stem so that each is approximately two to three inches in length.
  4. Looking at the sphere as if were a clock, insert a rose at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o'clock. Place each rose so it will lay parallel to the pew. Place another rose in the 'belly' of the sphere pointing outward.
  5. Insert the rest of the roses in the sphere, covering all the vacant spaces or gaps.
  6. After inserting all 25 roses, adjust them so that they create a uniform display.
  7. Hook or attach your decoration on the pew.
  8. You did it! Enjoy.
